NFL Week 15: Rain may dampen showdowns in Pittsburgh, Seattle

As the season progresses, teams will continue to fight for playoff bids and stay ahead of conference foes during this week's NFL action.

Key matchups this week in Pittsburgh, Seattle and Jacksonville could contend with rain.

Take a look at the forecasts for this week's slate of games:

MiamiDolphins at Buffalo Bills - Sunday, 1 p.m. EST

A week after snow overtook New Era Field, fans attending the Miami-Buffalo game won't have to worry about any whiteout conditions.

It will be a rather cloudy day with temperatures in the lower 30s for the game. An easterly wind up to 10 mph will drop RealFeel temperatures to the 20s.

Fans will need to bundle up as they typically would for a home game in Buffalo in mid-December.

BaltimoreRavens at Cleveland Browns - Sunday, 1 p.m. EST

The Cleveland Browns are still looking for their first win of the season as they take on the Baltimore Ravens at home this Sunday.

Conditions at FirstEnergy Stadium will be rather cloudy and chilly with temperatures in the upper 30s throughout the game.

However, RealFeel temperatures will only be in the lower 30s with a south wind of 8-16 mph during the game. A storm system moving through the area could also bring some rain or snow showers in the afternoon, but most of the wet weather will hold off until after the game.

CincinnatiBengals at Minnesota Vikings - Sunday, 1 p.m. EST

Cincinnati will take on Minnesota on Sunday afternoon in an AFC-NFC clash.

A chilly, but mainly dry day is in store for tailgaters gathering outside of U.S. Bank Stadium.

Fans will need to dress warmly with hats, gloves and scarves as temperatures will be in the 20s F for morning tailgates.

It will remain cold as fans leave the stadium with a temperature near 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

Jets at Saints - Sunday, 1 p.m. EST

The Jets will travel south to face off against the Saints this week in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Fans tailgating before the game should prepare for mild but wet weather. A few thunderstorms could move through at times.

Temperatures will climb through the 60s F in the morning to the lower 70s F at kickoff. This is rather mild for New Orleans in December, with temperatures typically in the middle 60s.

PhiladelphiaEagles at New York Giants - Sunday, 1 p.m. EST

A week after losing Carson Wentz, the Eagles will travel to New York for an NFC battle.

A chilly day will unfold in East Rutherford with temperatures in the 20s for morning tailgating, rising to the mid-30s by kickoff.

A little sunshine will break through clouds, adding minor warmth. However, clouds will increase as the game progresses due to an approaching storm. Any wet weather is forecast to hold off until the game is over.

ArizonaCardinals at Washington Redskins - Sunday, 1 p.m. EST

Arizona will take on Washington on Sunday afternoon at Fed Ex Field.

The harsh cold that gripped the mid-Atlantic during the week will dissipate by Sunday.

Temperatures will climb to the lower to middle 40s F by kickoff.

While it will likely be dry for morning tailgates and most of the game, fans may need to bring along rain gear as a spotty shower may move in by the end of the game.

Green BayPackers at Carolina Panthers - Sunday, 1 p.m. EST

The Panthers will host the Packers this week at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

The day will shape up to be rather cloudy on Sunday afternoon with temperatures climbing from the 30s in the morning to near 55 F at kickoff.

An approaching storm will keep clouds around throughout the game with the most likely scenario being that rain will stay off to the south and west of Charlotte.

The wind will be a non-factor, blowing at less than 10 mph throughout the game.

HoustonTexans at Jacksonville Jaguars - Sunday, 1 p.m. EST

Houston will take on the AFC South-leading Jacksonville Jaguars this week at EverBank Field.

While fans may need a light jacket for morning tailgates in Jacksonville with temperatures in the 50s F, it will warm up by kickoff with a temperature near 70 F.

The mercury will climb even higher into the mid-70s near halftime. Some sunshine will be around for the first part of the day, but clouds will thicken during the game. Any wet weather is expected to hold off until Sunday night or Monday.

Los AngelesRams at Seattle Seahawks - Sunday, 4:05 p.m. EST

Jared Goff and the Rams will travel north to Seattle this week for an NFC West showdown.

It'll be a typical December day on Sunday in Seattle with an overcast sky and rain at times.

Temperatures will be in the 40s during the game. Fans should be prepared with waterproof layers. Light winds won't have an impact on play.

New EnglandPatriots at Pittsburgh Steelers - Sunday, 4:25 p.m. EST

The Patriots and Steelers will face off on Sunday afternoon at Heinz Field in a game that could decide home field advantage for the AFC playoffs.

The game will take place in cool and damp conditions as rain is forecast to fall for at least part of the game with second half being the most likely time. Some wet snowflakes may also mix in.

Fans planning on tailgating or attending the game should don gear that is waterproof and warm.

TennesseeTitans at San Francisco 49ers - Sunday, 4:25 p.m. EST

No precipitation is expected.

DallasCowboys at Oakland Raiders - Sunday, 8:30 p.m. EST

Dallas will take on Oakland for this week's Sunday night football game.

Clear weather is expected in Oakland with seasonable conditions.

Temperatures will be in the low to middle 60s during the afternoon for tailgating.

At kickoff, temperatures will be near the 60-degree Fahrenheit mark, dipping into the lower 50s by the end of the game.

AtlantaFalcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Monday, 8:30 p.m. EST

When Atlanta takes on Tampa Bay for Monday Night Football, dry and seasonable weather will unfold.

Fans can expect comfortable, dry conditions and a partly to mostly cloudy sky for any pregame tailgating.

Temperatures will be in the lower 70s at kickoff, and temperatures will drop to the upper 60s by the end of the game.
