More rain, storms to threaten 2019 CMA Festival in Nashville after lightning delays Friday's acts
Rain gear will be needed for those attending the final day of the 2019 Country Music Association Festival in Nashville, Tennessee, on Sunday.
Lightning delayed the opening of gates into Nissan Stadium on Friday evening, according to The Tennessean. Nearly 2 inches of rain fell in the city on Friday.
Only a light rain dampened the Nashville area on Saturday.

Plastic rain ponchos and waterproof shoes will need to be kept on hand for Sunday.
Intertwined with showers on Sunday will be a couple of thunderstorms, which may get feisty at the local level with brief, strong wind gusts and lightning strikes.
The high temperature will reach the lower 80s F during the afternoons hours under a mainly cloudy sky.
Getting to and from the events could be a challenge during the rounds of rain.
Festival goers should be prepared for torrential downpours, which can be heavy enough to close some streets and sidewalks.

Outdoor events are taking place at Nissan Stadium, Firestone Country Roads Stage, the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage, Chevrolet Breakout Stage, the Budweiser Forever Country Stage and others.
The CMA Fest, which started in 1972, is the longest-running country music festival in the world.

In the past, up to 250,000 people have attended, according to the Nashville Music Council. More than 400 artists and celebrities typically attend, perform and hold autograph sessions.
