Coachella 2019: Dry, hot weather to continue for final day of 1st weekend
Held in the Southern California desert, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival features some of the hottest names in music as well as sweltering temperatures.
Temperatures are on the rise as some of the hottest names in music descend on Indio, California, for the first weekend of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino and Tame Impala are a few of the stars headlining the event.
The first weekend will run through Sunday, April 14, followed by the second and final weekend from April 19-21.

Similar to the Friday and Saturday, hats, sunglasses, sunscreen and cool clothing will be necessary items for all attendees on Sunday.
Temperatures will crack the 90-degree mark in the afternoon. Factoring in the bright sunshine, AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperatures can be 3-5 degrees higher.
Plenty of non-alcoholic beverages, especially water, should be consumed to avoid dehydration.
Attendees can take advantage of the water refill stations and shady areas set up around the festival grounds in between their favorite musical acts.
"Anybody who does not stay hydrated could experience the adverse effects of heat-related illness, such as heat exhaustion and heat stroke," said AccuWeather Meteorologist Kyle Elliott.
Small portable fans can help to cool down tents and campers.
The setting sun will offer a reprieve from the heat and may require some attendees to pull out a light jacket or sweatshirt.

"For those waiting until the evening shows and events, temperatures will quickly fall into the 60s and 70s F in time for the headlining acts," Elliott said.
Conditions may remain dry and warm for the second weekend of the event.
