Biking Unsafe with Lightning

Biking is not safe when lightning is flashing. Some people falsely believe that the rubber tires of the bike insulate the rider from an electrical discharge. To the contrary, while biking on the open road you are just as exposed to a lightning bolt as if you were standing out in the middle of a field.
