9 non-beach spring break destinations
Planning a spring break trip destination doesn't always have to involve going to the beach. Going to the beach during the springtime maybe isn't even the best idea when considering that it will be filled with wild college students. Here are nine better ideas of destinations for you to travel to that don't involve kicking back in the sand:
1- Las Vegas, Nevada
If you go to Las Vegas for spring break, you will be far from the ocean. You'll actually be in the desert! Don't fret. There are nearby lakes. Lake Meade is just a few hours away. There are plenty of golf courses, 24-hour casinos, and nightclubs to keep you entertained.

2- Havasu Falls, Arizona
Take a hike to Havasu Falls, and you will not regret it. This is about an eight-mile hike both ways that lead to a waterfall that is unreal. Just make sure you bring ample amounts of water and check the local weather forecast as this is a place where flash floods are common.

If you are into hiking, then Zion is the place to be. Hike up Angel's Landing, through The Narrows or on Emerald Pools Trail Canyon for some of the best views of your life. Remember to bring a coat as the desert is cold at night.
