2 - Bell Centre
Home of the Montreal Canadiens, the Bell Centre is teeming with a hockey atmosphere. Hockey is the most popular sport in Canada. The Canadiens are to Canada what the Yankees are to the United States. When you visit the Bell Centre for a game, be sure to get there early so that you do not miss the player introductions and Canadian National Anthem. It is worth the price of admission by itself.
3 - Xcel Energy Center
The Xcel Energy Center showcases a unique design that features a large portion of the building that was constructed with glass. This building is extremely popular for Minnesota Wild fans, especially since this team has only ever played inside of this facility. Hockey fans can still make their trip to the Xcel Energy Center, which happens to be located in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
4 - PPG Paints Arena
One of the most recent hockey arenas to be built is the PPG Paints Arena. This facility opened in 2010 and immediately became the home of the famous Pittsburgh Penguins. In 2016, the arena name changed from the Consol Energy Center to the PPG Paints Arena. This building can seat nearly 19,000 for an ice-hockey game and is located in downtown Pittsburgh.
5 - Rogers Place
Home to the Edmonton Oilers, and perfectly located in downtown Edmonton. It was billed as the best arena in the world, and it has lived up to the hype. First and foremost, it was built for hockey, and for the fans to get the absolute most out of their viewing experience. Also, the new arena is state of the art with plenty to see and a great selection of restaurants and bars. It has everything you could imagine, and then some. All while maintaining the intimate feel by seating less than 20,000 fans. It has become a source of pride for locals, and should not be missed.
BONUS - The Staples Center
2019 marks the 20th Anniversary since the Staples Center officially opened in 1999. Located in downtown Los Angeles, this breathtaking facility serves as the home for the Los Angeles Kings.
