Below is a list of severe weather updates, listed in eastern time, reporting the severe weather outbreak.
Heavy thunderstorms continue to target the panhandle of Florida and portions of southeast Georgia currently. Places like Panama City, Florida and Savannah, Georgia can expect exceptional rainfall rates, frequent lightning and strong wind gusts as these storms roll through.
The powerful thunderstorms that blasted through the Mobile, Alabama area are continuing to track southeastward into the panhandle of Florida. Residents in and around Pensacola should seek shelter immediately as storms roll through.
Severe thunderstorms with multiple areas of embedded strong rotation have prompted numerous tornado warnings around Mobile, Alabama. These storms will also pose a serious threat for any mariners on the Mobile Bay and surrounding waters.
A powerful line of thunderstorms with multiple "kinks" in the line have prompted tornado warnings across southern Alabama. Along with the threat for tornadoes, straight-line winds of 80 miles per hour are possible within the thunderstorms.
Additional tornado watches have been posted across portions of southern Alabama, the panhandle of Florida and into southwest Georgia. Severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes are expected to continue through Sunday night and into Monday morning.
Minor power outages have expanded into Mississippi, where 21,175 out of 1,150,346 customers are out of power. Mississippi Power has the most outages in the state.
An airport in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, will be the next target of a tornado with a strengthening ball of debris. People in the area should seek shelter.
A large and extremely dangerous tornado was confirmed seven miles northeast of Sandy Hook, Mississippi. The situation is particularly dangerous, as the tornado is heading toward Baxterville, Pine Ridge and Purvis, according to the National Weather Service. Seek shelter now.
The National Weather Service has warned people in Marion and Lamar Counties in Mississippi to shelter as a tornado warning in the area threatens 67,741 people. Hail the size of ping pong balls is possible in the area as well.
A minor power outage has occurred in parts of Alabama after the state was hit by severe weather. According to reports from poweroutage.us, 11,423 out of 2,074,412 customers in the state are out of power, with the worst outage coming from Coosa County. Alabama Power and Central Alabama Electric Coop have the most customers out of power.
A line of intense thunderstorms has developed across Louisiana with the potential for wind gusts over 60 mph and even isolated tornadoes as the line blasts eastward. People should not be outside as this line of storms moves through.
A severe thunderstorm capable of spinning up a tornado is northeast of Houston and is headed toward Moss Hill, Texas. The storm is tracking east at 40 mph.
A new tornado watch has been issued for southern Louisiana and southeastern Texas and will remain in effect until 10 p.m. CDT Sunday. This includes Lake Charles, Louisiana and Houston, Texas.
There is a possible tornado north of Alexandria, southwest of Georgetown, Louisiana. If you are near this area, take shelter now!
A tornado warning has been issued for Montgomery, Louisiana as well as Natchez until 2 p.m. CDT.
Hilton Head airport recorded a 47 mph wind gust at 12:50 eastern time. Tree damaged and blocked roads were reported in the area by a 911 call center following the high wind gust.
The first storm-related injury of this severe storm event has been reported in Dadeville, Alabama. Emergency management reports the person has minor injuries. Widespread wind damage has also been reported in Dadeville.
Alexander City, Alabama, Mayor Tommy Spraggins reports the city was hit hard by storms this morning. One-third of the city's power customers are without power, according to WSFA.
Tornado watches have been issued for northeastern Louisiana and central Mississippi, including Hattiesburg and Jackson, Mississippi until 7 p.m. CDT. People in those areas should have alerts turned on and be weather aware.
There are approximately 20,779 customers without power in Alabama as storms begin to cause damage across the South. Winds downed trees and possibly power lines as well in North Thornsby, Alabama. Damage has also been reported to the east near Lake Martin.

An emergency manager confirmed 1.75-inch hail west of Palestine, Texas, at 9:58 CDT. Hail was also reported in Katy, Woodway, and near Forth Worth, Texas.
A trained spotter reported 1.5-inch hail in Harris County, Texas, at 9:48 a.m. CDT.
A tornado watch was issued for parts of Louisiana and Texas until 3 p.m. CDT.
'Significant and widespread' wind damage has been reported in Coosa and Tallapoosa Counties in Alabama, according to The National Weather Service Birmingham.
There is a Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for Waco, Hewitt and Robinson, Texas, until 8:45 a.m. CDT. Large hail was reported near Waco, while golf ball-sized hail has been reported near Woodway.
