Bastardi Leaves AccuWeather after 32 Years of Distinguished Service
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. February 22, 2011 – AccuWeather.com today announced that Paul Pastelok has been appointed leader of our Long-Range Forecasting Team. Joe Bastardi has left AccuWeather, concluding his 32-year tenure.
Paul Pastelok has nearly two decades of forecasting experience and been an integral part of the Long-Range Forecasting Team since its inception in 2007. He has a proven track record serving clients in a variety of industries including transportation, utilities, energy, agriculture, manufacturing, education, and more. Paul is familiar to many that rely on AccuWeather’s long-range forecasting services through his daily column on the long-range site. Paul is a Senior Expert Meteorologist for AccuWeather, the highest level of scientific achievement at AccuWeather.
For the AccuWeather Pro site, Henry Margusity, a long-time, notable contributor, will assume an expanded role, along with other expert AccuWeather forecasters.
Joe Bastardi has left AccuWeather after a distinguished 32-year career. As a long-time colleague, AccuWeather thanks him for his great work and wishes him the best in his next endeavors, whatever form they may take.
